Description
A commission done for my friend Smruthi. She took the reference photo. She was taking a selfie and her son, Sashvat rushed up behind her to get into the picture. In the reference Smruthi was wearing sunglasses, so I found other references of her eyes so that I could put her eyes into the portrait
On this image I gave up on my scanner, and used various ways of taking pictures of it with my cell phone and adjusting levels and using the dodge/burn tool. I still don't think the digital version does any justice to the real life one, but it's a lot closer than I could ever get with the scanner. Thanks to this tutorial for help in figuring out how to adjust the digital image.
